Three steps, zero guesswork
- 1Pick the task and city
Six label rulesets, 610 US cities — every combination has a page with a live strip.
- 2Read the 10-day verdicts
Every forecast day is scored GOOD, MARGINAL, or NO against temperature, rain, dew point, humidity, and wind rules.
- 3Plan with the climate tables
NOAA 1991–2020 normals rank every month, so you know which weeks are even worth watching.
How the verdicts work
Every check on this site runs the same way. The forecast comes from Open-Meteo, hour by hour, for the next 10 days plus the 2 days behind you (coatings care what fell yesterday). The rules come from one published ruleset — a consensus of typical product-label requirements: working temperature, overnight lows during cure, dry hours before and after, the evening dew-point spread, humidity, and wind. A day passes clean as GOOD, survives exactly one soft miss as MARGINAL, and fails on any hard miss — rain in the cure window, a freeze, a low under the floor — as NO, with each reason spelled out.
Behind the live check sits climate: for every city we count workable days per month from NOAA 1991–2020 normals, so each page also answers the planning question — which months are even worth watching here?
